A Great Year
2010 has been a year of sun, snow and far flung adventures! This Christmas was the best in the band’s history, with a very successful run of Christmas shows at the Leeds Royal Armouries and a massive New Years Eve party. Even the heavy snow couldn’t stop us from making our way from Aviemore in the Scottish Highlands to London! Other Shows last year included headlining big festivals in Holland, Austria and Germany; playing shows in Switzerland and the Czech Republic; weddings in Majorca and Portugal; playing Skibo Castle in Scotland where Madonna was married; the Centrepoint building in Central London and many others!
2010 has been a very successful year, and despite the current financial climate, 2011 is already looking like an even busier year. Here’s to a good year for all!
Bogus Brothers - The Celebrities Choice
The Bogus Brothers continue their success and their busy schedule performing at high profile events across the world.
Over the last few months the band have performed for a host of high profile clients: Ambassadors in Moscow, Film Stars in Scotland, International Sports Stars in Ireland, Retail Businesses in Manchester, Charities in London, Entrepreneurs in Portugal and even been joined live on stage by world famous Popstars.
The band has been fortunate to be the entertainment of choice for some of the most successful individuals in the world. Over the coming months they are looking forward to such future high profile events as weddings in Deia, Majorca and St Tropez and will be traveling all over England and Scotland during the winter months.
One Celebrity Event Organiser sent the band this message after their performance at Skibo Castle, Scotland, for a film star from LA!
Tony, I have done this job for 20 years. Bogus Brothers are the best, most exciting, most professional and most flexible group of musicians I have ever had the privilege and the pleasure to work with. You gave my very important clients a night they will never forget and you exceeded their very high expectations in every way possible. Each and every member of the band is a total star and probably the friendliest bunch of lads it has ever been my pleasure to come across. Thanks to you all for everything. In this day when we throw the word ’star’ around like confetti, my clients and I were shown the real meaning of the word last night with each and every member of the Bogus Brothers. Thank you all sincerely for everything. Doug.
Bogus Brothers 2 - The Tzars Have Arrived
The Bogus Brothers are now one of the most popular party bands for high profile weddings and events throughout Europe.
Such is the popularity of the band that we have come up with a solution to meet everyone’s needs. Over the last 12 months we have been rehearsing a new band of musicians to cover our unavailability. The musicians were handpicked to match the Bogus Brother’s ethos of ease to deal with, positive attitude, high energy and musical ability.
Now with several high profile events under their belts including jetting off to Banff in Canada for an ING America Sales Conference, a tour with Scouting For Girls with Motiv Action and several other appearances for weddings and charity events across the UK we have decided to promote them as an alternative to Bogus Brothers should we be unavailable or cost prohibitive.
Bogus Brothers 2 will be known as The Tzars so not as to cause confusion to clients when booking.
Complete with a unique image, an energetic and interactive show and material similar to the Bogus Brothers, now no one need be disappointed.

Bogus Brothers confirmed for biggest Irish event of the year
Bogus Brothers are pleased to announce they have now been confirmed to perform at the biggest celebrity event to take place in Ireland this year.Brian O’Driscoll has booked the band to perform at his wedding in July, after a recommendation from Eddie Jordan. Brian and his wife to be were knocked out when they came to see the Bogus Brothers at a secret gig in Dublin.
Looking forward to 2010
It’s been a busy old time through the festive season and into 2010 - a lot of parties to endure. These have mostly been in and around the Leeds area, which was good as the new ice-age in the UK has made travelling any further a pretty scary prospect.
Tim ‘Posh Bogus’ Loudon the new bass player is settling in well, bringing a new perspective and sense of humour with him. We hope he spends a long and enjoyable time with the band. We all wish Martin ‘Slej’ Ledger all the best for the future and thanks for all the wonderful times we had with him.
A good couple of days was had in Amsterdam last week and with trips to Prague and Hamburg happening soon, there’s plenty to look forward to. Our highlight of the month was an appearance on the pitch at half-time in the Birmingham City v Manchester United game! A bizarre situation, where there was no time to set up properly so we basically had to run on the pitch and mime to a couple of tracks we’d recorded earlier in the week at Rairview studios in Hull with the wonderful John Spence engineering. Oh, and there was a second gig to get to after that at the ICC in Birmingham - a pretty full day!
Here’s to a busy and successful 2010!
Bogus Brothers vs Man United
The lads were pleased to be asked to play at half time for the Man United vs. Birmingham match in January. After performing ‘I’ve Got A Feeling’ and ‘500 Miles’ to rapturous applause the band had the pleasure of meeting Sir Alex when he was caught short at the start of the second half.
