Wedding entertainment can be anything from musicians to magicians to comedians and everything else in between, there really are no limits on what you can have as your wedding entertainment, whatever you like you can have. Traditionally though in the United Kingdom couples have chosen to have a disc jockey who will play all the hits of the day and some classics for the guests to dance to, generally playing whatever the bride and groom ask for whilst trying to avoid the whims of the drunken uncle who wants the DJ to play a song that he can’t remember the name of and can’t remember how it goes but insists that the DJ must know, that song. Very annoying but all part of the wedding entertainers duties, smile and say, ok, if I can find it.
Wedding entertainment will usually run like this, after the wedding breakfast there is a period of wait until the evening guests arrive, back ground music will be played during this period in order to allow the guests to mix and have a rest after their food. Once evening guests arrive the music will pick up and once the evening buffet has been served the Disc Jockey will start to play the party tunes and the guests dance the night away to the Village People and other novelty acts until the small hours. The wedding entertainer will usually finish with New York, New York by Frank Sinatra and everyone will stand in a circle with their arms around each other, singing the wrong words whilst performing inane Can Can dance moves. Perfect.
